2022 HEADLINERS
AGNES GARBOWSKA
Agnes Garbowska has worked with most major comic book publishers illustrating such titles as the New York Times Best Selling, Ringo Award, and Gem Award winning series DC Superhero Girls for DC Comics, as well as their Teen Titans Go! books. Her most recent work includes illustrating for HarperCollins on their My Little Pony: I Can Read! Comics and for Capstone on their DC SuperHero Fairy Tales line of books.
In addition to her work with major publishes on popular titles, Agnes Garbowska recently released a book with Shea Fontana titled, Kenzie’s Kingdom from WonderBond (Vault Comics). As well as has her own community based Digital Comic project titled, DigiDorables.
When it comes to the major publishers, Agnes’s work can be found just about anywhere. She has worked on My Little Pony, Care Bears, and Jem and the Holograms for IDW Publishing, Grumpy Cat, Boo: the World’s Cutest Dog, and Li’l Vampi for Dynamite Entertainment, Sonic Universe Off-Panel Stripes for Archie Comics, and Victories for Dark Horse. She has worked with Marvel Comics, providing artwork for Girl Comics and Spider-Ham 25th Anniversary Special. She is also the artist for the 2014 Halloween Comic Fest comic, The Adventure of Ernie from Aspen Comics.
In addition to interior art, Agnes has been working as a cover artist for many IDW titles including My Little Pony, Marvel Action Origins, Jem and the Holograms, Transformers, Clue, G.I. Joe, Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack, Dexter’s Laboratory, and Littlest Pet Shop series. In addition to her IDW work she has illustrated cover art for many Dynamite Entertainment titles including Boo: World’s Cutest Dog, Grumpy Cat, Red Sonja, Li’l Battlestar Galactica, Li’l Ernie, Li’l Bionic Kids, Li’l Red Sonia, and Doodle Jump. Her cover work continues to other companies, illustrating covers for Aspen Comic’s new series Kiani, as well as Soulfire, Psycho Bonkers, and Damsels in Excess. Agnes has also done cover work for Sonic the Hedgehog (Archie Comics) and Unity (Valiant).
GEOF ISHERWOOD
Starting in 1982, Geof has drawn for Marvel and DC Comics. His first full issue was Daredevil #203, which led to regular series runs on Swords of the Swashbucklers, Conan the King, The
‘Nam, Conan the Barbarian, Suicide Squad, Dr. Strange and Namor, along with numerous short runs and
one-offs on titles such as Spider-Man and Thor.
in 1999, Geof branched out into film, doing concept art under Patrick Tatopoulos on Battlefield Earth.
This gave him recognition in the Montreal film production community, and since then he has worked on over 60 productions, doing everything from storyboards for movies and animation to prop design to set decoration paintings and posters. Recently, Geof has done concept work on X-Men: Apocalypse.
Recently, Geof was recruited to teach part-time what he has learned from his years at the drawing
board at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario in the Illustration and Concept Art Program. He also
appears at numerous comic book conventions with his wife Amanda Muise.
DAVID NAKAYAMA
David Nakayama is a Honolulu-based freelance illustrator, concept artist, and art director. He’s best known for his Marvel Comics cover art (SPIDER-MAN, X-MEN, DEADPOOL) and Hasbro packaging art, but also freelancer for DC, WB, Capcom, Crystal Dynamics, Dark Horse, Dynamite, Valiant, Fantasy Flight Games, Upper Deck, ImagineFX, and many others. He previously worked in the video game industry as an Art Lead at Jam City and led the art teams for HARRY POTTER: HOGWARTS MYSTERY and MARVEL AVENGERS ACADEMY. Before that, he was a Marketing Artist at Kixeye and Art Lead at NCSoft, on CITY OF HEROES.
FRANK CHO
Frank Cho is an Emmy Award-winning and critically acclaimed writer and illustrator. He is known for his newspaper comic strip series, Liberty Meadows, as well as for his work at Marvel Comics such as Mighty Avengers, Spider-Man, X-Men, Shanna the She-Devil, the Hulk and Savage Wolverine. He is also known for his Harley Quinn, Batman and Wonder Woman covers at DC Comics.
Frank Cho is noted for classical and energetic figure art, beautiful illustrations of women, humorous writings and adventure stories.
Presently, Frank Cho has finished Skybourne at BOOM Studios, and is working on various creator-owned projects, Autumn, World of Payne, and War Wytch with novelist Tom Sniegoski at Image Comics.
He is currently wrapping up Fight Girls at AWA Studios.
AMY MEBBERSON
Amy Mebberson is a professional comic artist, illustrator, designer and fine artist specializing in licensed and all-ages characters. Most of her work is for the Walt Disney Company and its licensees, including Acme Archives, Hachette Book Group and various comic publishers. Amy also frequently works with Hasbro on Disney Princesses, Star Wars, My Little Pony and Littlest Pet Show franchises as a toy and graphic designer.
